NSCDC Special Intelligence Squad Rescues Kidnapping Victim, Arrests 70 Suspects in Edo State
Okpella, Edo State – October 14, 2025
The Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), base on the CG’S maching order, successfully rescued a kidnapping victim, Mathar Agbe, and arrested 70 suspects during aggressive clearance operations targeting criminal hideouts in the Okpella axis of Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo State. The operations took place between October 13 and 14, 2025.
The NSCDC’s intensive efforts focused on dismantling kidnapping syndicates and other criminal elements operating in the region. The rescued victim, Mrs. Mathar Agbe, was safely handed over to His Royal Highness, Usman Suleiman, the Ogei-Ochi III, paramount ruler of the Itsukwi Kingdom, on October 14, 2025.
