This development followed a meeting on Monday between NUPRC Chief Executive, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, and the NRS Chairman, Mr. Zacc Adedeji, at the tax agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to Mr. Eniola Akinkuotu, Head of Media and Strategic Communications at NUPRC, the visit was part of Eyesan’s broader engagement with key stakeholders after her recent assumption of office as Commission Chief Executive last month.

In line with the new tax laws effective from January 1, 2026, both NUPRC and NRS have agreed to enhance collaboration in the collection of oil and gas revenues. During the meeting, the two agencies committed to working closely together to ensure the government meets its revenue targets.
