Odumeje accuses Tinubu of Running Nigeria like a Business, Compares him with Trump, Putin, others (Video)

Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as “a businessman rather than a president.”

In a viral video, the cleric argued that true presidents are remembered for transforming their nations and securing a better future for citizens, a standard he said Tinubu has failed to meet.

Odumeje compared Tinubu unfavorably with world leaders such as former U.S. President Donald Trump, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traoré, and China’s Xi Jinping, whom he praised as examples of leaders committed to national development.

“I don’t know who’s calling Tinubu president. Tinubu is just a businessman,” Odumeje said. “If you want to talk about a president, call Trump, Ibrahim Traoré, Xi Jinping, and many others; they are true leaders who develop their countries for their people.”

The self-styled “Indaboski” further accused Nigeria’s political elite of enriching themselves and their families at the expense of national growth. He described Nigeria as “a giant of failure, not a Giant of Africa,” blaming what he called Tinubu’s poor economic policies for worsening hardship across the country.

Odumeje, who has previously described Tinubu’s administration as Nigeria’s “worst government,” said Nigerians have been too passive in the face of economic suffering. He alleged that Tinubu’s family and allies continue to benefit from wealth meant for the nation, while ordinary citizens bear the brunt of hardship.

Declaring his own political ambition, Odumeje vowed to run for the presidency in 2027 if he receives God’s approval. “When I’m done consulting God and I come out for the presidency, nobody can occupy the seat,” he said.
