Headlinenews correspondents filed a report on the reaction of the fmr Speaker Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara CFR to the recent vituperations of Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi.
Bala Mohammed has been in the News recently declaring his interest in the 2027 Presidential Elections even as many stakeholders react negatively to the premature declaration in a lighter mood as a joke. Headlinenews interviewed stakeholders within and outside Bauchi and the reactions were uncomplimentary.
Many interviewed observed that Bala Mohammed had no achievement to justify his aspiration to the highest office in the Country.
Some felt his taunting President Tinubu to be his campaign director was totally insensitive and out of place.
Many were amazed by Bala Mohammed’s appeal to President Tinubu this week for assistance regarding the flooding in his State.
Bala Mohammed according to many lacks the political maturity, sterling qualities capacity, competence and political capital to serve as a Councillor not to speak of a Governor. Some Indigenes of Bauchi lamented that Bala has not delivered the dividends of democracy or developed Bauchi State in any visible way. Nigerians generally noted that the man’s erratic conduct indicates that he should never be trusted with power.
“Bala has mental health challenges” said Prof Tunde Olawale. “Nigerians will disgrace Bala woefully he would regret ever entering politics. Politics today is for intelligent intellectually sound personalities with commendable political sagacity of which Bala is not amongst” Prof Olawale concluded.
