The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Oyewole Adamolekun for allegedly sexually abusing his biological daughter since she was three years old, resulting in her pregnancy at age 15. The suspect was apprehended at his residence in Taye Village, Lafa 2, Ajue area, following a complaint lodged on October 8, 2025, by community member Julius Olusola at the Enu-Owa Divisional Police Headquarters in Ondo town.

According to DSP Olushola Ayanlade, the command’s spokesperson, an ultrasound confirmed the victim is 19 weeks pregnant. Adamolekun confessed to the crime during interrogation and is now in custody, with the case transferred to the command’s gender desk for thorough investigation and swift prosecution.

State Police Commissioner Adebowale Lawal condemned the act as criminal and morally reprehensible, reaffirming the command’s zero-tolerance stance on sexual abuse, especially against minors. He praised the Inspector-General of Police for supporting reforms to protect vulnerable individuals and urged the public to report suspicious activities promptly to ensure justice and safety.
