During the confrontation, one soldier was reportedly killed, while the insurgents attempted to attack from multiple directions using gun trucks, motorcycles, and on foot.

The army engaged the attackers in intense combat that lasted into the early hours of February 21, eventually forcing them to retreat while leaving behind casualties. Air strikes later destroyed a gun truck and several motorcycles, neutralizing additional militants.

Security forces recovered 13 AK-47 rifles, 16 loaded magazines, three handheld radios, and other equipment used by the attackers. Some items were damaged by rocket fire. Injured personnel were evacuated and are reported to be in stable condition.

Military officials stated that the coordinated operations demonstrate sustained pressure on insurgent groups and ongoing efforts to weaken their combat capabilities across the region.
