No fewer than 100,000 supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lega Local Government Area of Kebbi State have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The mass defection took place during a mega rally held over the weekend.
According to information shared on the ADC’s mobilisation platform, the number of defectors exceeded 120,000.
Reports indicate that former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, a native of Kebbi State, has been actively encouraging politicians and supporters to join the opposition party.
Malami, who is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is among the opposition figures who have adopted the ADC as their political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC has continued to record an influx of defectors from various political parties across different parts of the country.
