Lagos State Police Commissioner Olohundare Jimoh has warned activist Omoyele Sowore and his supporters to steer clear of any protests over the Oworonshoki demolitions, threatening the full weight of the law against disruptions. Speaking at Iyana-Oworo on the Third Mainland Bridge on October 27, 2025, Jimoh said massive deployments are in place at key spots like Maryland, Ojota, Gani Fawehinmi Park, Gbagada, Bariga, and Lekki Toll Gate to prevent chaos.

He called the bridge vital infrastructure, warning that blocking it would endanger lives and cripple the economy. While upholding rights to peaceful assembly, Jimoh insisted protests must follow procedures and not infringe on others. He defended the demolitions, saying illegal structures harbored criminals, with genuine residents compensated.

Jimoh accused some of politicizing the issue for gain, vowing no tolerance for disorder under the guise of activism. He assured residents of protection and urged normal activities, emphasizing peace in Lagos.
