May Allah (SWT) forgive Flt. Lt. Ibrahim Abubakar Abba’s sins, bless his soul and reward his good deeds with Aljannah on the Day of Resurrection. May Allah (SWT) also give his parents, brothers and all his siblings, relatives and loved ones, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. And may Allah (SWT) bless us with faithful deaths when it is our turn to die. Ameen.
I express my heartfelt sympathy over this painful experience even as I draw solace that he lived a good, faithful, helpful and exemplary life; a life of great service to his fatherland.
The circumstances of Flt. Lt. Abba’s death further illustrates the grave problems our country is facing, and the failure of the political class and power wielders of our country in resolving the banditry and insurgency issues for nearly two decades now.
Democracy must be able to secure our society and uplift the wellbeing of our people. So far, the operators of our democracy have failed to do so, hence underscoring the need for us all to braise up and bring about effective change in the constitutional governance of our country. This is the only way to ensure that the deaths of such gallant officers and men like Abba are not in vain.
May his bravery serving his fatherland not be in vain. May Allah grant him Al- Jannat Firdaus and grant his family the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss. Ameen.
