There was tension inside the chamber of the Lagos State House of Assembly as officials of the Department of State Services confronted legislative workers on Monday.
The DSS officials, dressed in black jackets and helmets and armed with weapons, struggled with the workers at the door.
The situation led to pandemonium in the House.
This lawmakers had earlier forced their way into the chamber around 12:30 pm amid solidarity support from the assembly workers.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda is currently presiding over plenary at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Recall IntelRegion reports that the DSS had earlier sealed the chamber and office of the Speaker after invading the complex on Monday morning.
The crisis at the assembly deepens amid a leadership tussle between ousted Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and Meranda.
