Who is Rarara?
Born on September 13, 1986, in Katsina State, Dauda Kahutu Rarara rose to fame in 2015 through campaign songs for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during Nigeria’s general elections. His music became a powerful mobilising tool for the party.
A singer, songwriter, and performer, he is regarded as one of Northern Nigeria’s top political musicians. Recently, he released Omo Ologo (Child of Glory), a praise song for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which has gained popularity among the president’s supporters.
Rarara has also been active in politics, famously raising ₦57 million in 48 hours in 2020 from Buhari’s supporters to produce a video praising the former president. Despite controversies, including fund misuse allegations, he remains a prominent cultural and political figure in Nigeria.
