The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been photographed on the opening day of their two-day visit to Jordan, attending a high-level World Health Organization (WHO) roundtable with key donors and humanitarian partners in Amman.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived at the invitation of WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Buckingham Palace was informed of the trip in advance as a courtesy, sources confirmed.

Meghan wore a chic white boucle suit from Veronica Beard for the occasion priced at £1,050 for the blazer and £448 for the matching wide-leg trousers paired with a simple white T-shirt. She wore her long brown hair down in soft curls.
Harry opted for smart-casual attire, consisting of beige trousers, a white shirt, and a dark blazer.

The couple was warmly welcomed on the steps of the WHO country office by Dr Tedros, who greeted Meghan with a kiss and a hug.
During their two-day programme, the Sussexes will:

– Meet Jordanian leaders and senior health officials
– Engage with WHO teams
– Visit frontline health and mental health programmes
– Meet World Central Kitchen staff coordinating food relief for Gaza from Amman
– Visit Questscope’s youth centre to hear from young people participating in creative and wellbeing programmes

Their first engagement saw them join senior representatives from UN agencies including UNRWA, UNHCR, World Food Programme, UNICEF, and diplomatic attendees from countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Canada, and the European Union.
British Ambassador to Jordan Philip Hall thanked the couple for their visit, saying: “Your support and appreciation of the efforts that the United Nations, including of course the World Health Organisation, the government of Jordan and others, are making here is enormously appreciated. So thank you for coming.”

Jordan has long hosted large refugee populations, including around 2.5 million Palestinians and significant numbers of Syrians who fled conflict in recent years.
The visit marks the Sussexes’ first major overseas engagement of 2026 and underscores their continued focus on global health, humanitarian issues, and youth empowerment.
