Prince Harry has suffered what insiders describe as a “huge blow” following the resignation of Sally Davey, the chief executive of his sustainable tourism venture, Travalyst.
Davey, who has led the eco-focused organisation since 2020, announced she would step down in the coming months after five years in the role. Her departure adds to a string of high-level exits from the Duke of Sussex’s project, which aims to make global travel more environmentally friendly.
The news comes less than two years after the company’s chairman resigned after only 18 months in office, and just a year after Harry’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, quit after only three months.
In a farewell statement, Davey praised Prince Harry’s support, saying:
“I will always be grateful for your support, including as my confidant and guide during this personal decision to step back. I’m proud of what we’ve built together. And while I’ll be stepping down as CEO, I remain as committed as ever to Travalyst’s mission.”
A source told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden that Davey’s departure is a “huge blow to Travalyst,” noting she had been “crucial in its development” since its inception.
Prince Harry, 40, launched Travalyst in 2019 to encourage sustainable tourism and reduce the environmental impact of global travel.
