The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that candidates backed by his Rainbow Coalition—a grouping of politicians from various parties in Rivers State—are set to win all elective positions in the state in the 2027 elections.
Wike made the statement during a “thank you” visit to Asari Toru Local Government Area.
The Rainbow Coalition, which operates under Wike’s Renewed Hope Family, was created to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu. Wike explained that the initiative has brought together politicians from different parties under a single platform in Rivers State.

He emphasized that political actors in Rivers have moved beyond party lines to focus on collective interests under the Renewed Hope Family, stating:
“After Tinubu, the Rainbow Coalition will occupy every elective position in Rivers State in 2027. If you don’t genuinely belong to this rainbow family, forget it.”
Wike also highlighted some of the ongoing benefits residents have enjoyed since supporting Tinubu in 2023, assuring them that 2026 will bring even greater progress. He thanked the people for their steadfast support, noting that the risks they took in 2023 were beginning to yield positive results.
“Continue on this path, and you will keep seeing good outcomes. I promise to stand with you at the right time,” Wike added.

The Chairman of Asari Toru LGA, Onengiyeofori George, expressed gratitude to Wike for his contributions to the area, affirming the unity of the people under the Renewed Hope Family.
Also speaking, Chief Michael West, representing Asari Toru Constituency II in the State Assembly, praised Wike for rallying support for Tinubu and described him as a “good leader” for helping to elect the first Ijaw governor in Rivers State since the return of democracy.

West further pledged the continued loyalty and support of the people, stating they would follow Wike’s leadership wherever he leads.
