O Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Forgiving,
As we begin this sacred month of Ramadan, we turn to You with gratitude and humility.

A beautiful and relevant verse for the first day of Ramadan
“O you who have believed, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain Taqwa (consciousness of Allah).”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183)
This verse reminds us that fasting is a means of spiritual growth and nearness to Allah. May this Ramadan bring you blessings and guidance. Ramadan Kareem!

Ramadhan 1447AH Nuggets
A blessed month has come …
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said when the month of Ramadhan arrived, “ *The month of Ramadhan has come, a blessed month in which Allah Almighty has obligated you to fast. In it, the gates of the heavens are opened, and in it, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and in it, the devils are chained, and in it, is a night that (worship therein) is better than a thousand months. Thus, whoever is deprived of its good is truly deprived*.”

Narrated by Ahmad, 9213; al-Nasaa’i, 2106. classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i, 1992.
*NOTES 📝*
1. Allah has blessed His servants with special seasons of goodness in which they attain abundant reward from Him through relatively small righteous deeds. Among His favors is that He has also facilitated for them the means that help them perform these deeds in the most complete and perfect manner. The month of Ramadhan is one of the greatest and most virtuous of these blessed seasons. Those who fail to seek Allah’s forgiveness in this month are truly deprived. It is a time when good deeds flourish, sins decrease, and believers are encouraged to turn to Allah through fasting, prayer, and reciting as well as pondering on the meaning of the Qu’ran.
2. Many sinners repent in Ramadhan, responding to the call: *”O seeker of good, proceed! O seeker of evil, stop!”* The righteous predecessors eagerly anticipated this month, dedicating themselves to worship and charity. They fasted sincerely, avoided distractions, and spent nights in prayer and Qur’an recitation. Their devotion extended to acts of kindness, supporting the needy, and even striving in the cause of Allah, as seen in the battles of Badr and the conquest of Makkah.
3. Ramadhan is not a time for laziness but for worship, effort, and renewal of faith. Muslims should welcome it with gratitude, using it to strengthen their connection with Allah, seek forgiveness, and commit to a life of righteousness. This month offers a unique chance to purify the heart, increase good deeds, and attain Allah’s immense rewards.
*O Allah, aid us in becoming righteous, grant us Taqwa so that we may do abundant acceptable righteous deeds during this month of Ramadhan and beyond … Ãmeen*
