Osun Governor Adeleke Defends Dancing, Says Hobby Doesn’t Affect His Duties
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has affirmed that he will continue dancing, insisting that his passion for dance does not interfere with his responsibilities as governor.

Speaking on Wednesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Adeleke stated, “Let me tell you something. I will keep dancing because I love to dance and praise my God. That doesn’t change anything. Everybody has their way of relaxing or a hobby. My hobby is to dance and worship, and it does not affect my work.”

Adeleke, popularly known as the ‘dancing senator’ during his time in the National Assembly, recently attracted public attention after he began singing praises at an event before delivering his address. The interruption, which involved First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, sparked mixed reactions online. However, Oluremi Tinubu later dismissed the backlash as unnecessary.

The governor’s statement highlights the personal side of public officials and raises the question of whether a leader’s personality, such as Adeleke’s love for dancing, has any bearing on governance—or if critics are overreacting.
