###RIVERS ASSEMBLY ENDORSES TINUBU FOR SECOND TERM

The Rivers State House of Assembly has given its full backing to President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

During its 37th Legislative Session on Wednesday, the House cited the numerous Federal Government projects brought to the state under Tinubu’s administration as a key reason for the endorsement.

The motion, signed by 26 members, was read at plenary by the House Leader, Mr. Major Jack (Akuku-Toru). Lawmakers noted that the vote of confidence was intended to ensure continuity of governance.

Members highlighted the President’s role during a tense political crisis in the state, describing his involvement as a fatherly intervention that helped maintain peace and stability.

They also commended Tinubu for appointing prominent indigenes of Rivers State to key positions, a move they said strengthened ties with the Federal Government and boosted local political morale.

In response, the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule (Obio/Akpor I), described Tinubu as a compassionate leader committed to steering the country toward growth. He also praised the Tinubu administration’s strategic economic policies, calling them impactful and citizen-focused.

The lawmakers further pledged to mobilize grassroots support for the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ and expressed loyalty to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
