Umeh, representing Anambra Central, detailed the committee’s screening process conducted on October 14, 2025. The nominees submitted required documents, including CVs, code of conduct clearance, police reports, and DSS clearance, and underwent a question-and-answer session showcasing their qualifications and vision. Umeh noted no criminal complaints were received, affirming their suitability.

Senator Tony Nwoye from Anambra North seconded the motion to consider the report. The Senate then moved into the committee of the whole, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio put the nominations to a voice vote, resulting in unanimous approval by lawmakers.
