The swearing-in ceremony of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, was held at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, with a large gathering of dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.
Soludo arrived at the venue at exactly 11:18 a.m., accompanied by prominent figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

Also in attendance were respected elder statesmen such as former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
At exactly 11:50 a.m., Soludo took the oath of allegiance, followed by the oath of office, which lasted about five minutes. He was joined by his wife, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, who stood by his side throughout the ceremony.
Shortly after, at 11:55 a.m., he signed the oath documents in the presence of the Chief Judge of the state, drawing applause from the audience.
The ceremony officially marks the commencement of his second term in office, which is set to run until 2030.
