“Stay away from Nnamdi Kanu — he’s a Southeast problem,” warns Joe Igbokwe to Sowore.

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has cautioned activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore to stay away from matters concerning the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Igbokwe, in a Facebook post, said Sowore should not get involved in Kanu’s case, insisting that it is “bigger than him.” He accused Kanu of being responsible for the wave of killings and insecurity that have plagued the South-East region in recent years.

According to Igbokwe, “Omoyele Sowore should run away from Nnamdi Kanu’s matter because the issue is bigger than him. Nnamdi Kanu has shed thousands of innocent blood in the South-East in the last ten years. His men turned the region into a killing field.”

He further urged Sowore to mind his own business and avoid meddling in issues he does not fully understand. Igbokwe described Kanu’s activities as destructive, saying the consequences of his actions are still being felt across the South-East.

Igbokwe’s statement comes amid growing calls from Sowore and other activists for the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in custody since 2021.
