President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Olanipekun Olukoyede, Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on his 56th birthday, commending his professionalism and courage in advancing the agency’s mission to combat economic and financial crimes.
In a statement released Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Tinubu praised Olukoyede’s commitment to transparency, governance, and institutional reforms within Nigeria’s anti-corruption framework. He specifically highlighted the EFCC chairman’s establishment of a special task force to address currency offenses, targeting naira abuse and the dollarization of the economy, as well as his strategic efforts to tackle cybercrimes and economic sabotage.
Tinubu prayed for divine guidance and strength for Olukoyede, expressing hope that his leadership will help liberate Nigeria from longstanding economic challenges.
