President Bola Tinubu has flagged off the next phase of the Lagos-Ibadan dual carriageway expansion, covering both the completed and ongoing 24km section, as well as the upcoming 48km stretch.
Speaking at the event on Saturday, Tinubu, represented by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, emphasized the significance of modern road infrastructure in driving economic growth and regional connectivity. The project includes Section One of the expressway and the Lagos-Sagamu route, spanning Lagos and Ogun states.
Minister of Works, David Umahi, assured that despite ongoing procurement processes, work would continue without delays to ensure the road is fully operational and meets the highest standards.
