President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Monday night following an 18-day working trip that took him to Paris and London.
His presidential jet touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at exactly 9:50 p.m., according to a statement from the State House media office.
Welcoming the President back were top government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, among others.

Tinubu had departed Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2, beginning his itinerary in Paris before reportedly heading to London two weekends ago. During his time abroad, he was said to have kept in close communication with senior government officials, issuing key directives, particularly on security matters in states facing emerging threats.
While in Paris, the President met with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the United States Department of State. According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, their discussions centered on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing regional security, and promoting sustainable economic growth across Africa.

A major point of the meeting was the shared commitment to achieving lasting peace in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo through multilateral collaboration and the involvement of regional stakeholders.
Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, was also at the airport to receive the President.
