President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to make a one-day official visit to Kebbi State on Saturday to inaugurate projects delivered by Governor Nasir Idris.
According to a statement on Friday from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President will also serve as the special guest of honour at the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.
The festival, held along the historic Matan Fada riverside in Argungu, is widely regarded as one of Africa’s premier cultural events. It has also been recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Tinubu’s visit is expected to attract top government officials, traditional leaders, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors as Kebbi State hosts one of Nigeria’s most iconic cultural celebrations. The President is scheduled to return to Abuja after the event.
