On the 29th day of Ramadan, we are in the final moments of this sacred month, making it a crucial time for seeking forgiveness, mercy, and acceptance of our worship. Here are some powerful duas (prayers) to recite on this special day:
1. Dua for Acceptance of Fasting and Worship
Allahumma taqabbal minna siyamana wa qiyamana wa sa’ira a’malina.
“O Allah, accept from us our fasting, our prayers, and all our righteous deeds.”
As Ramadan nears its end, we ask Allah to accept everything we have done in this blessed month.
2. Dua for Forgiveness (Best to Recite on the Last Nights of Ramadan)
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.
“O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, You love to forgive, so forgive me.” (Tirmidhi 3513)
The 29th night could be Laylatul Qadr, so this is one of the most important duas to recite.
3. Dua for Freedom from Hellfire
Allahumma ajirna min an-naar.
“O Allah, save us from the Hellfire.”
In the last ten nights, Allah frees many people from Hellfire—we should ask to be among them.
4. Dua for Divine Mercy
Allahumma arhamni warham walidayya wa jami‘al-muslimeen.
“O Allah, have mercy on me, my parents, and all the Muslims.”
Asking for mercy ensures Allah’s blessings beyond Ramadan.
5. Dua for Sustenance and Blessings
Allahumma arzuqna halalan tayyiban wa barik lana fihi.
“O Allah, provide us with lawful and pure sustenance and bless us in it.”
A prayer for sustenance and provision as we move beyond Ramadan.
6. Dua for Strength to Continue Good Deeds After Ramadan
Allahumma thabbitni ‘ala ta’atik, waj‘alni minal-muttaqeen.
“O Allah, keep me firm in Your obedience and make me among the righteous.”
Ramadan teaches us discipline—this dua asks for consistency in good deeds even after the month ends.
7. Dua for Meeting the Next Ramadan in Good Health
Allahumma ballighna Ramadan al-qadim wa Anta radin ‘anna.
“O Allah, allow us to reach the next Ramadan while You are pleased with us.”
A heartfelt prayer to witness another Ramadan in good faith and health.

On the 29th day of Ramadan, we are in the final stretch of this blessed month, and the night could be Laylatul Qadr, making it an extremely important time for worship, du’a, and reflection. Here are some significant hadiths relevant to this day:
1. Hadith on Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, in the odd nights.” (Bukhari 2017, Muslim 1169)
Since the 29th night is an odd night, it could be Laylatul Qadr, a night better than a thousand months (Surah Al-Qadr 97:3).
2. Hadith on the Best Dua for the Last Nights of Ramadan
Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet ﷺ what to say if she finds Laylatul Qadr, and he told her to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ العَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
“O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, You love to forgive, so forgive me.” (Tirmidhi 3513)
This is the most powerful du’a to recite on the 29th night of Ramadan.
3. Hadith on the Rewards of Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari 38, Muslim 760)
As Ramadan ends, we ask Allah to accept our fasts and forgive our sins.
4. Hadith on Freedom from Hellfire
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has people whom He frees from the Fire every day and night in Ramadan, and every night there is a supplication that is accepted.” (Tirmidhi 682)
The 29th day is a final chance to ask Allah for freedom from Hellfire.
5. Hadith on The Importance of Du’a
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Three supplications are never rejected: the supplication of a fasting person, the supplication of the oppressed, and the supplication of a traveler.” (Tirmidhi 1905)
Since Ramadan is ending, we must increase our supplications before it’s over.
6. Hadith on The Completion of Ramadan and Charity
The Prophet ﷺ commanded:
“Give Zakat al-Fitr before people go out for the Eid prayer.” (Bukhari 1503, Muslim 984)
Before Eid, we must ensure that we give Zakat al-Fitr to help those in need.
7. Hadith on Continuing Good Deeds After Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” (Bukhari 6464, Muslim 782)
This reminds us that even after Ramadan, we should continue praying, fasting, and making du’a.
Final Reflection
As Ramadan comes to an end, let’s:
Seek Laylatul Qadr with sincerity.
Make du’a for forgiveness and mercy.
Give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid.
Commit to continuing good deeds beyond Ramadan.
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and du’as, and may He grant us the reward of Laylatul Qadr. Ameen.
On the 29th day of Ramadan, we are in the final moments of this sacred month, making it a time for seeking mercy, forgiveness, and blessings. Since the 29th night could be Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Decree), these Quranic verses are particularly relevant:
1. The Verse About Laylatul Qadr
“Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.” (Surah Al-Qadr 97:1-3)
Since the 29th night might be Laylatul Qadr, it is a night for extra worship, as one night’s prayer equals 83 years of worship.
2. Seeking Forgiveness Before Ramadan Ends
“And say, ‘My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful.'” (Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:118)
This is the final chance to seek Allah’s mercy before Ramadan ends.
3. The Power of Du’a in the Last Nights of Ramadan
“And your Lord says, ‘Call upon Me; I will respond to you.'” (Surah Ghafir 40:60)
The last nights of Ramadan are a golden opportunity to make sincere du’a.
4. The Promise of Forgiveness for Those Who Fasted
“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging.” (Surah Al-Kahf 18:107)
Fasting, prayer, and good deeds in Ramadan lead to Jannah.
5. Freedom from Hellfire Before Ramadan Ends
“Whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained success.” (Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:185)
This verse reminds us to ask Allah for freedom from Hellfire before Ramadan ends.
6. Giving Charity Before Eid (Zakat al-Fitr)
“Take [O Prophet] from their wealth a charity by which you cleanse them and purify them.” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:103)
The 29th day is a reminder to give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid to purify our fasts.
7. Remaining Steadfast in Worship Beyond Ramadan
“And worship your Lord until certainty (death) comes to you.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15:99)
Ramadan may be ending, but our worship must continue beyond this month.
Final Reflection
As Ramadan comes to an end, let’s:
Seek Laylatul Qadr through extra prayers
Ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy
Give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid
Remain steadfast in worship even after Ramadan
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds, and grant us the reward of Laylatul Qadr. Ameen.
