Jummat Prayer (Du’a) – August 8th, 2025
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Gratitude and Praise
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Alamin
“O Allah, we thank You for the gift of life, health, and faith. You are the Source of all light and wisdom. Guide our hearts to always remember You, even in moments of ease.”
Forgiveness and Mercy
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and love to forgive. Please forgive us, our parents, and the Ummah — for the wrongs we know and those we do not recognize.”
Guidance and Strength
Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba’da idh hadaytana, wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah
“Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us Your mercy — for You are the Bestower.”
Protection and Provision
O Allah, protect us from the trials of poverty, arrogance, injustice, and misguidance. Provide for us from sources we cannot imagine, and bless us with halal and abundant rizq.
Peace for Nigeria and the World
O Allah, bring peace and unity to Nigeria. Guide our leaders toward justice and compassion. Remove oppression from the world and fill the hearts of the people with understanding and mercy.
Du’a for the Hereafter
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah waqina ‘adhaban-naar
“Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”
Final Reminder: “O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off business. That is better for you, if only you knew.”

1. Forgiveness:
“Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayh.”
(I seek Allah’s forgiveness and turn to Him.)
2. Guidance & Mercy:
“Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba’da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah…”
(Our Lord, don’t let our hearts stray after You have guided us. Grant us mercy.)
3. Peace & Protection:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka al-‘afwa wal-‘aafiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah.”
(O Allah, I ask You for peace and well-being in this world and the next.)
4. Blessings on the Prophet (SAW):
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin…”
5. General Du’a:
“O Allah, bless our day, accept our prayers, forgive our sins, and protect us. Ameen.”

Your blessings are bigger than our efforts and Your reward is well above our worship. Ya Allah ! We have more hopes in Your mercy than in our deeds .Ya Allah ! forgive our shortcomings and accept all our Ibadah on this holy day and beyond.
