Qur’an Verse for the 15th Day of Ramadan:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that sprouts seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261)

May Allah accept our charity and multiply our rewards in this blessed month. Ameen.

Here are some hadiths that are relevant for the 15th day of Ramadan:

1. The Importance of Seeking Forgiveness in the Middle of Ramadan

The middle ten days of Ramadan are known as the days of Maghfirah (forgiveness). The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The first ten days of Ramadan are mercy, the middle ten days are forgiveness, and the last ten days are for seeking refuge from Hellfire.”
(Reported in Al-Bayhaqi)

2. The Power of Dua in Ramadan

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“There are three whose supplications are not rejected: the fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just ruler, and the supplication of the oppressed person.”
(Tirmidhi, 3598)

This hadith encourages us to make special du’as on the 15th day of Ramadan, especially at iftar time.

3. Fasting as a Shield

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Fasting is a shield; so, when one of you is fasting, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor raise his voice in anger. If someone insults him or fights with him, let him say: ‘I am fasting.'”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 1894; Sahih Muslim, 1151)

This reminds us to maintain patience and good character, especially in the middle of Ramadan when fatigue may set in.

4. The Best of Deeds in Ramadan

The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked which deed is best, and he replied:

“Feeding the poor and greeting those whom you know and those whom you do not know.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 12)

This is a beautiful reminder to increase our charity and kindness as we move through the middle of Ramadan.

A beautiful verse from the Quran that aligns with the 10th day of Ramadan, focusing on seeking forgiveness and mercy, is:

“And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous.” (Surah Aal-E-Imran 3:133)

This verse encourages believers to seek Allah’s forgiveness and strive for righteousness, which is especially relevant in Ramadan, a month of mercy and purification.

May Allah accept your fasting and grant you His infinite mercy!
Ameen.
