Ramadhan 1446AH Nuggets
The Prophet says Ãmeen climbing the Minbar
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) ascended the pulpit and he said, “ Ãmeen, ãmeen, ãmeen.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), you ascended the pulpit and said ameen (thrice).” The Prophet said (ﷺ), “ Verily, Jibreel (Angel Gabriel) came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadhan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honor them and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever has your name mentioned in his presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen.”

NOTES 📝
1. Ramadan is a divine blessing, superior to all other months. It is a time of fasting, prayer, mercy, and forgiveness, during which Allah multiplies rewards, opens the doors of Paradise, and frees people from Hellfire. The Prophet ﷺ eagerly anticipated it and encouraged his companions to take full advantage of its virtues. Those who fail to seek forgiveness and engage in worship in this sacred month face great loss, as numerous hadiths emphasize that missing out on Ramadan’s blessings is a sign of heedlessness and deprivation.
2. The Prophet ﷺ always guided his followers toward goodness and warned them against actions leading to loss. In the hadith under review, he emphasized the great misfortune of three individuals: one who hears his name and does not send blessings upon him, one who witnesses Ramadhan but does not attain forgiveness, and one whose elderly parents live with him but he fails to serve them, missing the opportunity for Paradise.
3. This month provides an unmatched opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation. The Prophet ﷺ warned that those who enter Ramadhan without changing their ways, continuing in sin without repentance, are truly among the losers. Every night, Allah grants freedom from Hellfire to many, and a call is made inviting people toward righteousness. Those who waste this time without drawing closer to Allah are missing out on immense rewards. The true winner is the one who uses Ramadhan as a means to purify the soul, seek forgiveness, and earn Allah’s mercy.
O Allah, aid us in becoming righteous, grant us Taqwa so that we may do abundant good deeds during this month of Ramadhan and beyond. And make it a means of earning Your Pleasure … Ãmeen
