The Theatre Command has reported the successful neutralization of several terrorists during coordinated military operations in northern Nigeria.
Lt. Col. Sani Uba, the Command’s Media Information Officer, disclosed that in Sector 2, troops working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force carried out a night operation around Muktum and Ngirbuwa villages, resulting in the elimination of numerous terrorists. The operation also led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, three motorcycles, and mobile phones.
Further inspection along the terrorists’ retreat path revealed drag marks and a shallow grave, indicating additional casualties among the insurgents.
In a separate operation in Sector 1, troops intercepted fleeing terrorists along the Bulayobe–Darel Jamel axis near the Main Supply Route. The assailants abandoned two sacks containing assorted logistical items suspected to be intended for terrorist use.
The Theatre Command continues to intensify its operations to ensure the safety and security of affected communities.
