TRUMP MULLS PLAN TO TAKE CONTROL OF IRANIAN OIL LIKE VENEZUELA

U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that taking control of Iran’s oil resources could be an option as the Middle East conflict continues to escalate.

Speaking during a cabinet meeting, Trump said the idea was not off the table, drawing comparisons to U.S. actions in Venezuela, where Washington has pursued aggressive oil-related policies in recent years.

“It’s an option,” he said, adding that the United States had done “very well” with Venezuela’s oil reserves.

The president also claimed that Iran’s leadership was eager to reach an agreement to end the ongoing war, despite publicly resisting negotiations. He pointed to what he described as a goodwill gesture by Tehran, allowing several oil tankers to pass through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The remarks come as tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran continue to disrupt global oil markets, pushing prices higher and raising concerns about energy security worldwide.

Trump’s comments have further heightened concerns about the direction of the conflict, with analysts warning that any move to control another country’s oil resources could significantly deepen geopolitical tensions and prolong instability in the region.
