TRUMP SAYS U.S AIMS TO DESTROY IRAN’S MILITARY, TOPPLE GOVERNMENT

US President Donald Trump announced a significant military operation against Iran on Saturday, pledging to destroy the country’s navy and missile infrastructure while calling on Iranians to challenge their government.

In a video message posted online, Trump stated that the goal of the US and Israeli strikes was to dismantle Iran’s military capabilities and remove the leadership in power since 1979.

“We are going to destroy their missiles and dismantle their missile industry completely. Their navy will be annihilated,” Trump said, addressing the Iranian people directly. “When we are finished, take over your government. This will be your moment.”

Trump urged members of Iran’s armed forces, including the elite Revolutionary Guards, to surrender, offering full immunity to those who lay down their weapons. He warned that those who resist would face “certain death.”

The president justified the military action as a defense measure, citing threats from Iran’s nuclear ambitions and development of long-range missiles capable of reaching Europe, US troops abroad, and potentially the American homeland.

Trump also cautioned ordinary citizens about the scale of the bombardment, advising them to stay indoors.

The attack followed a period of diplomatic engagement, including talks mediated by Oman in Geneva, aimed at addressing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program. While US envoys had discussed potential agreements to prevent Iran from stockpiling enriched uranium, Trump ultimately ordered strikes in support of ongoing Israeli operations.

This deployment represents one of the largest US military actions in the Middle East in recent years.
