The Trump Administration is reportedly preparing to launch military strikes on targets inside Venezuela within hours or days, according to U.S. media reports.
Sources cited by the Wall Street Journal suggest that the strikes will focus on Venezuelan military installations allegedly involved in drug trafficking, particularly facilities linked to the Cartel of the Suns a network the U.S. accuses of smuggling cocaine under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro and his inner circle.
The operation is said to be aimed at crippling the cartel’s command structure and disrupting its trafficking routes. American officials have reportedly pinpointed several key sites believed to be used in the transport and protection of narcotics, marking them as possible airstrike targets.
