TRUMP VOWS TO RETALIATE AS TWO DRONES HIT US EMBASSY IN SAUDI ARABIA

The United States Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was struck by two drones early Tuesday, March 3, 2026, prompting an immediate emergency security alert for American citizens across the Kingdom.

The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia confirmed the attack in an official statement, issuing a shelter-in-place directive for major cities including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran.

The statement read: “The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia has issued a shelter in place notification for Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran and is limiting non-essential travel to any military installations in the region – we recommend American citizens in the Kingdom to shelter in place immediately and avoid the Embassy until further notice due to an attack on the facility.”

The embassy did not disclose the extent of damage or report any casualties. It stated that it is actively monitoring the evolving regional security situation.

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested retaliation would come “soon” for the embassy attack and the killing of six U.S. military personnel in Iranian strikes.

Speaking to NewsNation on Monday, Trump said: “You’ll find out soon” how the U.S. would respond, without providing specifics.

He added that he did not “think boots on the ground [in Iran] will be necessary,” according to the network’s White House correspondent.

The incident occurs amid heightened Middle East tensions following recent U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran, which killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior figures, triggering Iranian counterattacks across the Gulf region.
