Tragic Lagos Road Crashes Claim Two people’s Lives
A deadly collision involving a Dangote SINO truck, three tricycles, and a minibus occurred in the Iyana Meiran area of Lagos State, leaving two people dead and others injured. The victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

LASTMA’s official statement on X (formerly Twitter) confirmed the crash happened on the inward Meiran Road near PHC. “Two fatalities and several injuries have been reported following the accident involving a Dangote SINO truck, three tricycles, and a minibus,” the agency said.
This tragedy follows another deadly incident earlier in the week. On Monday around 2:30 a.m., an unregistered vehicle collided at high speed with a moving trailer near Otedola Bridge on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. Both occupants of the car were killed instantly, while the trailer driver reportedly fled the scene.
LASTMA has once again warned motorists to exercise caution and avoid reckless speeding, emphasizing the rising dangers on Lagos roads.
