Two suspected cultists, identified as Monday and Efe, have been killed in a fresh wave of cult-related violence in the Ojo area of Lagos State. The killings occurred on Sunday at separate locations within the community, with the victims discovered bearing gunshot wounds.

A source revealed that the attacks appeared to be reprisal actions carried out by rival groups, and the police later evacuated the bodies.
Reports indicate that Monday was a former chairman of the Neo Black Movement in Alaba International Market and a long-time leader of the Aye confraternity in the area. Efe, another suspected NBM leader, was reportedly attacked while charging his phone during a power outage.

Videos circulating online show one victim lying in what appears to be an electronics shop while gunshots are heard, and another clip shows a man lying motionless with visible gunshot injuries.

Residents and observers have expressed concern over the persistence of cult-related violence in Ojo and surrounding areas, despite ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb the menace. The Lagos State Police Command has yet to officially confirm the incident.

Cult clashes in Lagos have continued to spark fear, with previous incidents in areas such as Orita Adeba, Lakowe, and Sangotedo leaving multiple young men dead in reprisal attacks.
