‘WE CAN SEE SOME LIGHT AT THE END OF TUNNEL,’ TINUBU ASSURES NIGERIANS ON 74TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the economic reforms introduced by his administration are beginning to produce positive results.

In a personal message released on Sunday to mark his 74th birthday, the President acknowledged the challenges faced since the rollout of the reforms but expressed optimism about the progress made so far.

“As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we’ve faced since we initiated our reforms. I’m glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel, despite the temporary setback caused by the ongoing Middle East crisis,” he said.

Tinubu noted that the achievements recorded so far were a collective effort, crediting Nigerians for their resilience and support.

“The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and our government. We achieved the gains together,” he added.

The President also explained why he opted for a low-key celebration, saying it was in line with the current national mood and the challenges facing the country.

He expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their goodwill messages, prayers, and support, noting that such gestures continue to encourage his administration. He also appreciated individuals and organisations who celebrated him through media messages and public displays.

Tinubu further thanked his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their kind words, describing the occasion as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to serving the nation
