We will soon kidnap you’: Suspected terrorist threatens Tinubu, Nigerian soldiers, and governors.

A man suspected to be a terrorist has appeared in a video circulating online, claiming responsibility for the recent wave of kidnappings in Kebbi and Niger states.

Nigeria has recently faced increased attacks from bandits, leading to the closure of schools in some northern areas. The situation has created widespread fear as security agencies work to restore order.

In the video, the young man, believed to be in his early twenties, threatened that they would soon begin kidnapping soldiers, governors, and even the President. He said, “We kidnapped students in Kebbi and Niger State. We will soon start kidnapping soldiers and politicians; there is nothing the government can do about it.”

Meanwhile, the 38 worshippers abducted from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, have regained their freedom.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq announced their release on Sunday, describing the rescue as the result of strong cooperation between security agencies and government authorities.

He credited the successful operation to President Bola Tinubu’s hands-on involvement, stating that the President personally oversaw efforts to secure the victims’ release.

The attack occurred on Friday during a church service, where gunmen killed at least two worshippers and abducted 38 people, including the pastor. The kidnappers later contacted families and demanded a ransom of 100 million naira per victim.

It remains unclear whether a ransom was paid before the victims were freed.
