WHEN PROSPERITY REACHES THE POOREST, NATIONS STAND STRONGER – TINUBU

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity is the nation’s greatest asset, stressing that economic growth must reach even the most vulnerable households to ensure stability and sustainable development.

Speaking on Monday at the National Economic Council (NEC) Conference on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable National Development at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu said: “Nigeria’s diversity is our strength. When states grow, Nigeria grows. When growth reaches the poorest households, national stability is strengthened. Sustainable development ensures our children inherit growth.”

Describing the nation’s task as both challenging and historic, the President said his Renewed Hope Agenda serves as a national compact, promising that the sacrifices of Nigerians would result in a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous country.

He expressed optimism that the conference’s resolutions would boost daily farming, livestock investments, ranch development, and the diversification of agricultural produce, emphasizing that modernizing agriculture is crucial for inclusive growth.

“I assure you that I will play my part. There are seven zones, and advanced mechanization is on the way,” Tinubu added.

The President highlighted the bold reforms his administration has implemented to stabilize the economy, restore confidence, and lay the foundation for long-term growth. “These reforms are tools to deliver prosperity, dignity, and opportunity for all Nigerians,” he said.

He also noted that monetary policy reforms initiated by his administration have started producing positive results and are gaining international recognition.

Tinubu highlighted achievements reflecting the government’s commitment to cooperative federalism and inclusive development, including improved revenue distribution to state and local governments. “This ensures predictable allocations, enabling states to pay salaries, invest in infrastructure, and deliver social services,” he said.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s focus on infrastructure across transportation, power, digital connectivity, and irrigation to drive inclusive growth, while expanding social programs for vulnerable households, youths, women, and small businesses.

He also reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to combating terrorism and banditry, describing insecurity as “unacceptable” and contrary to Nigeria’s culture.
