Tufab, an associate of Wizkid, has sparked controversy by accusing Afrobeats superstar Davido of issuing threats against him. In a post on his X page, Tufab shared a screenshot of an alleged conversation where Davido confronted him for reportedly calling him “Osakpolo,” a name Davido rejected and warned Tufab not to use.
Tufab denied using the term and urged Davido to stop threatening him, stating, “MY LIFE IS IN DANGER. I’M BEING THREATENED!” He emphasized that he has no ties to any cult or fraternity, describing himself as “an army of God and chosen one of Christ” and citing Psalm 91:2 for protection. Tufab claimed the threats are recurring and warned that if anything happens to him, Davido should be held accountable.
In his post, Tufab wrote, “If you talk you go kpai, if you no talk you go still kpai. I’ve kept quiet long enough and I’m about to set it straight… I’m bringing this to the general public as a disclaimer against my personality.” He also addressed accusations of editing the chat, insisting the threats are real and that he has more evidence, including past conversations, but is withholding some details to avoid escalating the situation.
Tufab clarified that he has no personal issues with Davido, accusing the singer of taking banter too seriously. He posted the chat primarily to debunk rumors of his involvement in any cult, stating, “People close to me know it’s not the first time.” The allegations have ignited widespread reactions online.
