‘You don’t know law’: Nnamdi Kanu blasts judge after his trial was shifted (Video)

IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu has lashed out in court over his ongoing trial, accusing the presiding judge of ignorance of Nigerian law.

In a viral courtroom video, Kanu was seen angrily leaving the dock with several books, waving the Nigerian constitution, and questioning why the judge and the Federal Government disregard both the constitution and Supreme Court rulings.

“You have no idea what justice means,” he shouted. “You don’t respect your own constitution or the Supreme Court judgment. So why are we in court?”

Kanu also warned those who tried to calm him down, saying, “Don’t try that rubbish. Useless black people, you don’t know law. You think you can jail me — you’re dreaming.”

Following his outburst, the judge directed that the court registry be moved temporarily to the courtroom to allow the filing of Kanu’s defence documents.

Federal Government counsel Adegboyega Awomolo confirmed he would receive the documents in court and respond accordingly.

Kanu recently agreed to open his defence after repeatedly demanding to see the specific terrorism law he allegedly violated.
