Fubara made this appeal while opening a meeting of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council in Port Harcourt. The gathering brought together traditional leaders from across the South-West, South-South, and South-East regions.

He described the president as a committed and patriotic leader, expressing confidence in his administration’s direction. According to the governor, the country has already witnessed notable progress in areas such as economic reforms and infrastructure development, and a second term would help sustain that momentum.

Fubara highlighted ongoing projects and policies under the current administration, noting that while challenges still exist, there is a clear roadmap aimed at improving national stability and economic growth.

Using a football analogy, he suggested that continuity in leadership is important, encouraging citizens to maintain support in order to achieve long-term results.

The governor also emphasized the importance of unity among Southern states, calling for stronger collaboration to promote development, peace, and shared progress. He noted that working together across regional lines would help address common challenges and improve the welfare of citizens.

At the event, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, also spoke on the role of the council, stressing its commitment to fostering cooperation and dialogue among traditional institutions in the region.
