Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has backed the Gunners to defeat Chelsea when they host the Blues in the Premier League on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Emirates Stadium.
Campbell also tipped Mikel Arteta’s side to clinch the Premier League title this season.
Speaking after Arsenal’s impressive 4-1 away win over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, Campbell expressed strong confidence in the team’s momentum.
“A 4-1 win away from home, keep going, keep rocking, and we are going to get there. We are going to do it [win the Premier League title] this year,” Campbell told Metro UK.
Arsenal currently sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with Manchester City in second place but holding a game in hand after 27 matches played.
The Gunners are next in action when they welcome Chelsea, having already defeated the Blues over two legs in this season’s Carabao Cup semi-final.
When asked if Arsenal would repeat the feat against Chelsea in the league, Campbell replied confidently: “We have done [beaten] them in the cup, we can beat them again.”
Campbell’s endorsement comes as Arsenal continue their strong title challenge under Arteta, with the team showing consistency and attacking flair in recent matches.
