HAMZAT, RUNNING MATE VISIT MFM LEADER OLUKOYA AHEAD OF 2027 LAGOS GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has visited the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, accompanied by his running mate, Damilola James.

Hamzat announced the visit in a post on his X account on Thursday, explaining that the meeting offered an opportunity to reflect on the values that influence communities and the institutions that support residents.

He noted that the kind of society people desire depends largely on the values they uphold and the role played by institutions in supporting the public.

The deputy governor also reaffirmed his commitment to listening to Lagos residents, understanding their concerns and pursuing development that improves their daily lives.

According to him, his priority is to ensure that progress in the state translates into meaningful benefits for its people.

The visit comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election, with Hamzat representing the APC.

The meeting is part of a series of engagements Hamzat has held with prominent religious leaders in the state ahead of the election.

Earlier in the week, he met with Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries.

Hamzat said their discussion focused on the need for collective responsibility and cooperation in building a Lagos that serves the interests of all residents.

He emphasised the importance of working together towards a better future for the state.

The meetings highlight Hamzat’s ongoing engagement with religious institutions and their leaders as he prepares for the 2027 governorship contest.
