Norwegian-Nigerian singer Tolou has released the official video for her hit single, Body.
Written by Theron Thomas and produced by Tricky Stewart, the track is the final release from her debut album, Energy. The video, shot in Lagos, highlights Tolou’s connection to her Nigerian roots while complementing the song’s celebratory vibe.
Born in Tromsø, Norway, Tolou describes her music as Afro-Scandi Pop. “My music is shaped by both Arctic stillness and African rhythm,” she explained. The 28-year-old singer added, “It blends the cool melodies of Norway with the vibrant energy of Nigeria.”
Tolou’s connection to Nigeria deepened after a trip three years ago, which inspired the release of her earlier hit, Coco, helping cement her presence in the music industry.
She began her musical journey in a church youth choir before being discovered by rapper Wyclef Jean, who invited her to perform at his concert—marking the start of her professional career.
