A royal biographer has claimed that Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, was left unsettled by a decision involving Prince Andrew around their wedding in 2018.
Princess Eugenie, 36, married Mr Brooksbank, 39, on October 12, 2018, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in a ceremony that drew global attention but more limited broadcast coverage compared to other royal weddings.
According to royal author Hugo Vickers in Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History, Prince Andrew reportedly pushed for the ceremony to be filmed after major television networks declined to cover it. The author also claims Andrew arranged for an alternative production company to record the event.

Vickers further wrote that Mr Brooksbank was reportedly “alarmed” by Prince Andrew’s insistence on a carriage procession through Windsor, allegedly concerned that public turnout might be low.
However, the procession did go ahead, and Windsor reportedly saw a strong crowd of well-wishers lining the streets as the couple made their journey.
The account adds a fresh layer of detail to a wedding that, while generally viewed as joyful within royal circles, has continued to attract public interest years later.

It also comes amid ongoing discussion around the roles of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice within the wider Royal Family, particularly in light of continuing scrutiny surrounding their father, Prince Andrew, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in relation to Jeffrey Epstein.
Royal commentators have suggested that King Charles III may still be open to maintaining a role for both sisters within royal life, though public sentiment remains mixed.
For now, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank continue to maintain a relatively private family life, occasionally appearing at official events while largely staying out of the spotlight.
