Suspected Thugs Attack Lagos Assembly Spokesperson, Olukayode Ogundipe
The spokesperson of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ogundipe Olukayode, popularly known as Omojomolo, has reportedly been attacked by suspected political thugs in Lagos.
Olukayode, who is said to have secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Lagos State House of Assembly primaries, was attacked around 12:10 p.m. on Monday at Afariogun Junction along the Airport Road service lane.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers, about four in number, arrived on two motorcycles and targeted the vehicle conveying the politician before carrying out the assault.

The incident left the vehicle severely damaged, with its windscreen and side windows shattered.
He was later rushed to a hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. A statement from his media office confirmed the attack, saying he was “currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.”
Reacting to the incident, Kayode Tinubu, Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Oshodi-Isolo Local Council, who helped move him to the hospital, condemned the attack and described it as disturbing.
He questioned the growing trend of violence linked to political disagreements, warning that such actions could destabilise peace in the area.
Police officers from the Makinde Division in Mafoluku-Oshodi have visited the scene and launched an investigation into the attack, pledging to identify and arrest those responsible.
