Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has widened his provisional lead in the Osun governorship election, according to figures published by Nigeria Open Data.
The platform’s latest aggregation places Adeleke on 452,719 votes, ahead of All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji with 373,003, while African Democratic Congress candidate Najeem Salaam has 15,056 votes.
The figures, covering polling units across Osun’s 30 local government areas, give Adeleke a provisional advantage of 79,716 votes over Oyebamiji. Earlier circulated figures of 452,072 votes for Adeleke have therefore been overtaken by subsequent uploads.
Nigeria Open Data is not an electoral commission or government agency. It describes itself as a free civic-data platform developed by Place of Ideation, using information from public institutions including INEC, NBS, CBN and the Debt Management Office.
Its election tracker says the totals are aggregated electronically from EC8A polling-unit result sheets uploaded to INEC’s IReV portal.
The figures remain provisional. Presence of results from all 30 local government areas does not necessarily mean every polling unit has reported, while automated extraction can require further verification.
Only results formally collated and declared by INEC’s returning officer constitute the official outcome.
Adeleke holds a substantial data-tracker lead, but INEC retains the final word.
