The Kaduna State Government has attributed growing economic activity and increased investor confidence in the state to improvements in security across communities.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Sule Shu’aibu, SAN, disclosed this while representing Governor Uba Sani at the National Summit on Security, Leadership and Economic Development held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
Shu’aibu said the administration had made security a central component of its development strategy, stressing that a safer environment was creating new opportunities for businesses and investors.
According to him, improved security is no longer limited to protecting lives and property but has become a key driver of economic growth in Kaduna.
“Security is no longer just about protecting lives and property. In Kaduna today, improved security is creating opportunities, attracting investments, stimulating commerce, and laying the groundwork for long-term growth,” he said.
The commissioner attributed the development to the government’s people-focused security strategy, which includes proactive security measures, improved intelligence sharing with federal security agencies and stronger engagement with local communities.
He said the approach had helped rebuild public confidence and created a more favourable environment for businesses, government projects and private investments.
Shu’aibu noted that safer communities had allowed development programmes and commercial activities to expand across several sectors without major disruptions.
He described Kaduna as increasingly becoming an attractive destination for both domestic and international investors.
The commissioner also praised Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive leadership, saying the progress recorded in the state was the result of coordinated policies and sustained efforts to improve security and governance.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to its SafeKaduna for All agenda, assuring residents that the government would continue building on the security gains already achieved.
According to him, the ultimate goal is to transform Kaduna into a model for peace, stability and inclusive economic development in Nigeria.
