In a historic moment for Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor, received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Entrepreneurship from the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) during its convocation ceremony held today. This esteemed recognition acknowledges his unwavering commitment to human capital development and his outstanding leadership qualities, which have garnered him respect both locally and nationally.
Governor Uba Sani was honored for his substantial contributions to fostering entrepreneurship and empowering individuals. Throughout his tenure in the Senate and through initiatives led by the Uba Sani Foundation, he has supported thousands, cultivating a spirit of self-reliance among the youth. His vision for a prosperous Kaduna is reflected in the policies he has implemented to create sustainable opportunities for the people.
One of his most notable initiatives includes the construction of three skills acquisition centers across the state. Once completed, these centers will provide training and certification for 400 individuals every three months, resulting in a total of 1,600 trained individuals each year across 19 different trades. This initiative aims to equip the youth of Kaduna State with essential skills to succeed in a competitive job market.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Uba Sani expressed deep gratitude for receiving this honor. He stated that the award is not only a recognition for him but also represents everyone invested in the vision of a better Kaduna State.
