Saudi Arabia and Nigeria are set to deepen economic cooperation following a high-level meeting between the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, and Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, in Abuja.

Dangote met with the ambassador on Friday at his residence in the Diplomatic Quarter, where both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in key sectors such as energy, industry, and infrastructure.
Ambassador Al-Balawi said the meeting reflects the growing momentum in economic relations between both countries, noting that Saudi Arabia and Nigeria continue to build a strong and evolving partnership.

He added that discussions focused on expanding strategic investments and identifying areas of mutual economic benefit, particularly following Dangote’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to him, attention was also given to emerging opportunities for the Dangote Group within the Kingdom, as well as potential investments from Saudi investors in Nigeria and across Africa.
The ambassador further emphasized that both nations are committed to building long-term partnerships that support economic growth and development.

The meeting concluded with a dinner hosted in honour of Dangote, during which he received a commemorative gift symbolizing the strengthening ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Dangote, in his remarks, described the engagement as productive and expressed confidence in future collaborations between both parties.

He noted that recent discussions in Saudi Arabia have opened new areas of cooperation, particularly in sectors that drive industrial expansion and economic development.
Dangote also reaffirmed his commitment to building partnerships that will create mutual value for both countries.
